Green Beans with Bacon

What you’ll need:

  • 2 pieces of bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • Fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ a lemon (optional)

Directions:

  1. First, take your two strips of bacon and cut them into long strips, then into little squares to make your own bacon bits. Start browning these in a frying pan.
  2. When the bacon bits are about halfway browned, chop up your onion and satué in the same pan.
  3. Once your onions are getting soft, mince a garlic clove and throw it in the pan as well.
  4. Add your green beans to your pan. For added flavor, squeeze a half of lemon into the pan as well.
  5. Cook green beans until they are as soft or as firm as you prefer
