Ginger & Mint Lemonade

Ginger, lemon and local raw honey support healthy bodies.  The bonus is this drink tastes incredible and is super easy to make.  Ditch the powder lemonade mix from the store.  Your family will let you know when the Ginger & Mint Lemonade is getting low – time to make more.

What you will need:

  • Quart sized Mason jar
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1/3 cup sliced fresh ginger
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/3 cup local honey (raw preferred)
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice or organic bottled
  • 1 1/2 cups cold filtered / spring water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Lemon slices (optional)


  1. Add mint leaves and ginger to an empty pot.
  2. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over mint and ginger.
  3. Cool for about 15 minutes, while still warm, but not boiling add honey to dissolve.
  4. Add lemon juice, then allow it to cool to room temperature.
  5. Strain out the liquid if desired.
  6. Add additional cold water.
  7. Serve with ice and optional mint leaves and lemon slices.

This refreshing beverage is ideal to serve cold during the warm summer months.  For a twist, during the cool or cold months serve as a warm beverage and enjoy too!
