Not your average Chicken Patty

Move over beef patty, there is a new burger in town. It’s time to discover this flavor-packed ground chicken patty loaded with herbs and is great served on a plate or bun.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 1 ½ cups sourdough bread (processed in a food processor to create soft breadcrumbs)
  • ½ of a medium sweet onion (processed in a food processor)
  • 1 medium to small carrot (processed in a food processor)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ tsp. Celtic sea salt
  • ½ tsp. Thyme
  • ½ tsp. Basil
  • Fresh ground pepper

*Makes about 8 chicken patties

Directions:

  1. Mix all of your ingredients in a large bowl and form into hamburger shaped patties
  2. Light up your grill and clean off the grates from previous cooking. You may want to grease your grates since chicken tends to stick on the grill.
  3. You’ll want to cook the patties until they are brown on both sides (about 10 minutes)
    1. If you want your patties to cook faster, you can close the lid of the grill to create an “oven-like” effect

 

Looking for little spice,  throw in some cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes -Bam!
